For over a decade, Belgium has played a significant role in the development of offshore wind farms.
As well as generating energy, this has lead to more job opportunities, an increase in the number of skilled workers, improved infrastructure, and development of ports and the coastal zone.
The combination of all these changes has lead to challenges in marine spatial planning, which is where COASTAL may be able to help.
Belgian Offshore Days provides the offshore wind industry with a forum to facilitate and encourage collaboration between Belgian and international companies. The central theme of the event is “Increasing value by data-driven innovation in the offshore wind farm lifecycle”.
