The autumn 2021 election of the European Geoscience Union (EGU) is now open for the next Union President, General Secretary and Division Presidents. Prof. Georgia (Gia) Destouni from Stockholm University, the lead partner of the Swedish MAL3 (Multi-Actor Lab 3) case and the co-lead partner of the Greek MAL2 in COASTAL, is one of the candidates for the presidency of the Hydrological Sciences Division. 

COASTAL was presented at the Baltic Sea Day Conference by Stockholm University (SU) (the Swedish MAL3 lead partner).

A quantitative typology approach to nutrient source attribution across the whole Swedish coast of the Baltic Sea - this is what Stockholm University, the lead partner for the Swedish MAL3, has come up with. This approach will make it possible to differentiate between active and legacy nutrient sources.

Stockholm University, the lead partner for the Swedish MAL3 case in COASTAL, has developed a systems breakdown accounting method to assess the urban carbon cycle in the Stockholm County – the key metropolitan area within the MAL3 coastal region – and identify implications for achieving the carbon-neutrality goal by 2045 set at the national level.
