On May 23, 2019 the local partners and selected stakeholders for Belgian Multi-Actor Lab met again at the premises of the Flemish Land Agency in Bruges.
D9 as a first deliverable of WP3 is an EU-wide inventory and screening of ‘best practices, successes and lessons learned’ from twelve study regions other than the COASTAL case studies in order to create an inventory of innovative and inspiring examples.
The Coastal flyers were distributed by Dr. Mariana Golumbeanu at the Copernicus Marine Service (CMEMS) General Assembly was organized in Brussels from May 20 to May 22, 2019.
The COASTAL project was presented at GreenBridge to the association of Flemish academics (VVA) on 30 March 2019, and to a delegation of the KENT Council (UK) on 21 May 2019.
COASTAL coordinator Jean-Luc de Kok was invited to the project meeting of the H2020 fellow project ROBUST (20-22 May 2019, Helsinki) to present COASTAL progress and discuss strategy for cooperation between the two projects.
COASTAL was also presented at the seminar on “Challenges and Opportunities related to a new Climate Economy: Driving Innovation for Sustainable Development” on 2 May 2019 held at the Academy of Athens organized by Navarino Environmental Observatory (NEO) which is a research cooperation between Stockholm University, Academy of Athens and the Greek company TEMES.
COASTAL flyers were distributed by Geonardo at the the American Association of Geographers annual meeting that was held April 3-7, 2019, in Washington, DC.
