Co-creating evidence-based business roadmaps and policy solutions for enhancing coastal-rural collaboration and synergies

COASTAL at virtual European Geoscience Union (EGU- General Assembly 2021)

Date: 19-30 April 2021

Venue: Vienna, Austria (held online)

Stockholm University (SU) attended the international conference of EGU General Assembly 2021 with several scientific presentations in different sessions.

COASTAL project was also presented by SU for the third time at this event (it was also presented in 2019 and 2020 in this conference), and new outcomes of the project for the Norrström drainage basin and its Baltic coastal regions (MAL3) were disseminated and discussed with other scientists. The conference was held in online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including 18,155 scientists from 136 countries who attended 13,643 live presentations in 642 scientific sessions. There were 12,015 uploaded display materials alongside the accepted abstracts which are publicly available for comments and further discussions until 31 May 2021. SU’s presentation on the application of the system network diagram and fuzzy-cognitive modeling of water quality condition in the study area was among the total 30 presentations in the session “Water quality at the catchment scale: measuring and modeling of nutrients, sediment and eutrophication impacts” which was held on 20 April.
