Through COASTAL project, ICEADR identified in Tulcea county as an opportunity for development applying to finance measures for non-agricultural activities. An identified sub-measure, which benefited from its applicability, was Sub-measure 6.2 - Support for setting up non-agricultural activities in rural areas - Scope of the territory of the ITI - Danube Delta -, the beneficiary being Dima Ancea PFA, which carries out the activity of straw briquettes which results in briquettes fire. The project is a successful one, accessing European funds of about 70,000 euros, capitalizing on the secondary production of wheat crop. Such projects also stimulate the labour market by creating jobs.
